Crime Watch Report: There was no officer present. Members present reported that an air conditioner was stolen from 923 Golden Trophy Dr. on September 20, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. Keep watch over your neighbor.

Treasurer’s Report: Statement ending 9/21/05. Beginning Financial Balance was $2,407.18. deposits $50.00, withdrawals $ 32.96. Ending Account Balance $2.324.22. Expenditures for this same period were. Post Office Box security deposit $76.00, September Newsletter $51.96, and Bank Service Fee $5.00.

New Business: Former President Lawson Turner swore into office the 2005-2006 OTHA officers: David Klempin-President, Rev. Charles Taylor-Vice-President, Tina Arredondo-Secretary, and Ruby Green-Treasurer.

A Business in the area, represented by Ms. Sandra Jones, displayed some E-Z Seen Signs. They have 4” numbers, and are reflective at night so that they may be visible for emergency vehicles. They are aluminum and rust proof. They are 30” high and sell at $39.95+Tax. A donation of $10 from each sign bought by OTHA members will go toward OTHA Beautification Fund.

Old Business:
*A quote of $349.00 has been given for installing a new website for OTHA with a $24.00 yearly fee. Kessler Park and Woodland North already have websites.

*Speed Bumps – Mr. Cedric King and active supporters have contributed $1,597.00 and need $503.00 more in resources. Any one may donate toward the speed bumps project.

*Neighborhood Clean-up – summer clean-up continued during the summer months by a few volunteers. It was suggested that we pick-up trash not only in our immediate area, but a little further out. OTHA will continue to work on the surrounding businesses – stores, and laundromat.

*National Night Out was a great success. The location was excellent due to its shady spot and easy excess. Members in attendance voiced support for making the site permanent.

*All streets have been resurfaced in Oakland Terrace neighborhoods except Racine Street. Racine Drive is on the city books for 2006 resurfacing.

*2005/2006 OTHA dues are still being collected. Your support is very much needed and
appreciated.

*Garden of the Month was awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Arredondo for their well-maintained lawn at 910 Golden Trophy Drive.

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at Polk Wisdom Branch Library.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:57 p.m.
Tina Arredondo, Secretary
